School Dinners
We encourage all of our children to have a school meal at lunchtime. We have a team of staff on site from Autograph Foodservice and all our meals are cooked from scratch in the School kitchen using high quality and sustainable ingredients.
We offer all our children a healthy and nutritious school meal and fun dining experience. Queen’s Manor primary school holds a Silver “Food for Life Served Here” award, which makes our meals better for British farming and better for animal welfare.
Autograph’s team of nutritionists work closely with our chefs to make sure that our meals are varied and support our pupils’ health and well-being. Our team bring food and health messages to life in our schools by delivering a raft of engaging educational initiatives.
Children are invited to trial new options and parents are invited into school to experience how lovely the schools meals are. Staff sit and eat with children to encourage them to try new food and to support the social aspect of sharing a meal.
There are themed days throughout the year and at these times children are part of the menu decision making process. For example, on International Day recently we had an intercontinental menu created by the school council and Autograph – it was both delicious and inventive!
Alternatively, parents may choose to send in a packed lunch. Please click here to read our guide to what can be included in your child’s packed lunch.
